The EmpowerUs consortium is led by Nordland Research Institute (NRI), Norway, and brings together 16 partner organisations from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Spain and the UK.
The Steering Committee is the supervisory body for the execution of the project. It consists of the EmpowerUs Project Coordinator, Work Package Leaders and the Gender, Equality and Diversity Coordinator. Each member is given one vote each in decision making for all project issues and will guide the dissemination of results that arise from the project.
The International Advisory Board consists of independent experts and policy makers with expertise on coastal development and transformation, whose involvement will ensure the gathering of additional expertise and knowledge necessary to assist the Consortium on strategic matters and give guidelines in order to maximise the impact of the project results.
